Campsite 800 metres from the sea in Saint-Jean-de-Monts
From our campsite, you can reach the beach at Saint-Jean-de-Monts by taking the path that crosses the dune and forest for 800 meters. This picturesque path is for pedestrians only (not suitable for bicycles or baby carriages), but a cycle path gives you easy access in just 1200 m.
Saint-Jean-de-Monts beach is 8 km of fine sand for sunbathing, swimming, running, playing beach volleyball or simply enjoying the gentle ocean.
The Vendée proudly bears the name Côte de Lumière: a sunny coastline comparable to that of southern France, but with the unique charm of the iodized Atlantic air and high tides ideal forfishing and sailing.
Among the most beautiful beaches in the area are the Grande Plage de Saint-Jean-de-Monts, the Plage de la Parée du Jonc and the Grande Plage de Notre-Dame-de-Monts, which has been awarded the Pavillon Bleu label, symbolizing sustainable, environmentally-friendly tourism.
Enjoy direct access to La Davière beach!
From the campsite, it’s just an 800-metre stroll through the forest to the wild beach of La Davière. This unspoilt beach is dog-friendly, perfect for enjoying the ocean with family, friends… and your four-legged friend.
In high season, it is supervised every afternoon from 1 pm to 7 pm by lifeguards, with a first-aid post nearby.
Water sports enthusiasts will find much to enjoy here: kitesurfing is particularly popular, and at low tide, sand yachting can be practised on the vast expanses of fine sand.
You can also enjoy horse or pony rides at sunrise or sunset, to the delight of young and old alike.
For those who love to fish on foot, the beach is teeming with shrimp, pine nuts and other shellfish.
