The origins: a farm in Saint-Jean-de-Monts
Originally, the site was home to a farm run by the Amiaud family. When the camping business was set up, the name was retained as a tribute to this history. A little anecdote: a spelling error in a famous vacation guide transformed “Amiaud” into Amiaux… and that’s how the current name of your campsite came about!
The evolution of camping
Set in a vast 16-hectare natural park, the campsite has developed over the years around two zones:
An older part, on the forest side,
A newer part, on the other side of the road.
Milestones :
1989: creation of the road underpass and development of the most recent section (on the indoor pool side).
2000: installation of the water slides.
2004: opening of the indoor pool.
2012: installation of solar panels and award of the Clef Verte label.
2013: award of the Accueil Vélo label.

Behind the warm welcome and smooth running of Les Amiaux campsite, a close-knit team works every day to make your vacation a pleasant one:
- David, Director, is responsible for the management and welcoming of our guests.
- Jacky, in charge of green spaces, carefully maintains the 16-hectare wooded park.
- Fanny, Gouvernante, ensures the comfort and cleanliness of our accommodation.
- Eric, in maintenance, is on hand to keep things running smoothly.
In July and August, seasonal staff reinforce the team to guarantee optimum service and a carefree vacation.

Backstage. The permanent team takes care of the maintenance and renovation of the facilities in preparation for the next season: hedge trimming, pruning, comfort work… In keeping with our environmental commitments, the wood is carefully bundled, dried and then sold locally as firewood.
