COVID-19 QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

COVID-19 RELATED QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
CAMPING LES AMIAUX
APRIL 17, 2020

1 / Will the campsite be open on May 2, 2020 as planned?

* No, after the presidential address on Monday April 13, 2020, and the ministerial decree N ° 2020-423 of Tuesday April 14, 2020, French campsites are prohibited from welcoming tourist customers until May 11, 2020 at least, with no mention of when they can open.

2 / I booked after May 11, 2020 (in June, July, August or September), will the campsite be open?

* At the date of writing this document, I cannot indicate a date for the opening nor under what conditions. All equipments are operational for their scheduled opening dates. Only an official decision will lift the ban on welcoming tourist customers.

3 / I paid a deposit for my stay planned after May 11, 2020 (in June, July, August or September), will I be refunded if the campsite is finally shut on this date?

* If such was the case, you would benefit from the French State decision N ° 2020-315 of 25/03/2020 and its possible extension. The principle of it is that a campsite guest benefits from a voucher for different uses: the holiday can be postponed, the deposit can be used as a credit for a future stay within 18 months, or be refunded after those18 months.

4 / I have already paid my deposit, do I have to pay the balance asked if my stay starts after May 11, 2020?

* As of today, without any official decision, the campsite should be able to accommodate and the balance is therefore due on the date originally planned.

5 / If I cancel my holiday for personal reasons (worry, fear, precaution, etc.), and the confinement period has ended, will I be refunded for the amounts already paid?

* No, only force majeure can break the contract: administrative shut-down, confinement, border closure.
Apart from these, please refer to booking terms.

6 / I have subscribed a cancellation insurance, will it cover the amount already paid in the event of cancellation?

* As there are many cases, I suggest you to get in touch with the insurer, who will be able to answer your questions accurately.

7 / Will the services (bar, swimming pools, grocery shop, etc.) be open?

* I am unable to answer this question at the moment as it depends on the Prime Minister’s decision.

8 / If the campsite is open after May 11, 2020, will there be sanitary measures?

* For several days, the health authorities have been working actively in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, and the FNHPA (the national federation of campsites) to develop a complete health plan allowing the campsites to have relevant tools and procedures. The main objective is that there are real commitments and a certain number of health standards defined within the campsite to guarantee the safety of guests.

9 / I own a static caravan, can I use it? If not, when?

* No, you cannot use it before May 11, 2020 (at least). It is the Government’s decision to authorise the campsites to open in France, they will chose the date to open to tourist customers .

10 / I own a mobile home on the campsite, I paid a deposit. With the uncertainties about the opening, do I have to pay the following installments and the balance? And could I benefit from some sort of compensation?

* All payments are due according to the schedule established in the rent contract.

* A counterpart is planned, without details today. It can be:

- an extension of the opening period
- an extension of the equipments opening periods
- a postponed renewal of the contract
- free services
- a credit for the following season
- payment facilities
- price stability for the following year
-…
This list is not exhaustive.

Due to the uncertainties linked to the opening date of the campsite, and the availability of all or part of the services (because of possible safety restrictions), it is too early to give specifications.
